The Temple Of The Tooth




 The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, located in Kandy, Sri Lanka, is a sacred site housing the left canine tooth of the Buddha 🙏.The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is situated within the royal palace complex of the Kingdom of Kandy, which existed from 1592 to 1815. It was first built by King Vimaladharmasuriya I and was destroyed by Portuguese invaders . The current temple was built by King Sri Vira Parakrama Narendra Sinh. A sacred site for Buddhists, it has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 



The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a revered site for the Sinhalese people, beautifully adorned and hosting regular ceremonies, especially on poya days . It's a symbol of Sri Lankan identity.

  The most beautiful journey of my life  Sri Pada was the most beautiful journey I've ever taken. It was my first time visiting and worshipping there. I went with my best friend Tanuja and a few other friends.  We prepared everything the day before and left by train at 5:30 am. We sang songs and enjoyed the scenery along the way. We reached the starting point of the climb in the evening and began our ascent, remembering Buddha and the gods. After a while, we took a break at Seetha Gagula, freshened up, and enjoyed the snacks our moms had made for us. It was an incredible experience 😍. We climbed together, worshipped, and took in the breathtaking views from the top.  The feeling of freedom was indescribable. We brought back memories and treats to share with our loved ones. That's the most beautiful journey of my life 😊.
